I have graduate degrees in Engineering and in Computer Science, focusing on Artificial Intelligence. Sim-to-Sim Transfer: Do Agents Generalize Beyond Their Training Environment?
In this project, you will build an intelligent agent that learns to complete tasks in a simulated environment and evaluate whether it can generalize its behavior to new, unseen environments. Modern AI systems often perform well in the settings they are trained on, but fail when conditions change. This project investigates a fundamental question in AI: Can an agent trained in one environment successfully operate in a different one? You will design experiments to measure this “generalization gap” and explore methods to improve robustness. You will design controlled experiments, compare multiple training setups, and analyze failure cases. The final outcome will include quantitative results, visualizations, and a short research-style report explaining your findings.
